Mountain tea

The mountain tea plant (genus Sideritis -Sidiritis) used widely in Mediterranean countries, including Greece, as a decoction (tea). Investigation show that the species Sideritis having potential pharmacological properties, such as anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antioxidant to an extent corresponding green tea (Camellia sinensis) protecting the gastrointestinal system and in the mitochondria, immune modulating and antibacterial. Contains substances that inhibit the reuptake of serotonin, dopamine and norandrenaline in mouse and serotonin in humans (antidepressant activity similar to that of SSRIs) According to scientific studies, mountain sideritis tea is the enemy of Alzheimer’s disease.

OUR CULTIVATIONS
All our products are grown at an altitude of about 1,100 meters and all our plantations are biologically certified. Due to the family composition, but also the philosophy of our business, all the cultivation care of our products, from the installation of the plants, to their collection and storage, are done exclusively by hand. Drying is done naturally in a shady place and without the use of machines or other means. The final product comes into your hands directly from nature, without any technical processing.
